بتاريخ 12\2\ 2012 تم اعتقال الكاتب حمزة كاشغري (سعودي الجنسية) في مطار كوالالمبور في ماليزيا من قبل الإنتربول على خلفية بعض العبارات التي كتبها على على موقع (تويتر) والتي اعتبرت (اهانة للنبي محمد) حيث كانت هناك دعوات واسعة النطاق من قبل الإسلاميين في السعودية بإعدامه . مرة اخى تثبت النظم الدينية كالسعودية عدم احترامها لحرية الفكر والتعبير. اننا هنا نطلق حملة للدفاع عن كل الحريات والتعبير عنها بما فيها نقد الدين. واننا اذ ندين الحكومة الماليزية التي قامت بتسليم حمزة الى الانتربول ومن ثم السلطات السعودية رغم فراره منها وطلبه للجوء .
أننا نطالب أن تفرج السلطات السعودية فورا ودون قيد أو شرط عن كاشغري. الذي لم يرتكب أي جريمة قط.
